How Do I Work Out The Colour Ratio For The Grout So It Will Match The Piece Being Grouted?

To figure out your mix to grout colour ratio, work out how much colour was added per 20kg. When grouting you want to increase the colour by an extra 10%. Generally grout will dry out lighter then the piece itself. Generally 1 kg of grout will easily cover up to 2sqm.
If we used 187g of yellow in a 20kg bag the grout calculations would be as follows:

187 ÷ 20= 9.35g

We want to add an additional 10% to the grout for a better colour match.

9.35×1.1=10.28g
