City Mix has developed a unique and economical technology that enables the recycling of large volumes of waste packaging and insulating foam (commonly “EPS”) into an extraordinarily lightweight and user-friendly material suitable for blending in a wide variety of concrete products.

The city mix is a sand replacement measured by volume. For example, a bucket of sand will be replaced by a bucket of city mix. We replace 1/2 of the sand weight with the city mix, then substitute the weight of the sand for volume – put the sand being replaced in a bucket and mark where the sand level is.

Then tip it out and fill the bucket with city mix to the same volume. You can replace more but it will weaken the mix, or you can replace less.

The patent-pending technology allows varying portions of the heavy sands and gravels common to cement-based mixtures to be replaced with ultra-lightweight City Mix material in order to reduce overall concrete product weight.

An Additive To Make The Gfrc Even Lighter

City Mix Lightweight Concrete Additive Bulk 1415L is an extraordinarily lightweight, durable and user-friendly material suitable for blending in a wide variety of concrete, stucco and masonry products.

The technology allows varying portions of the heavy sands and gravels common to cement-based mixtures to be replaced with ultra-lightweight CityMix material in order to reduce overall product weight.

And since CityMix weighs approximately 1.3kg per .9 sqm, even a modest ingredient volume substitution for typically 40-45 kg per 1 sqm conventional fine aggregates can produce a significant weight reduction.
