MACt Blended Densifier range – the ultimate solution for dust proofing and achieving the highest standard of concrete densification on the market. In today’s world, it’s essential to limit silica exposure for workers on sites. Dust proofing is a critical aspect of this, and our MACt Blended Densifiers can help achieve this goal.

We have developed our MACt Blended Densifiers with the input of industry experts and have analyzed their feedback to improve our products. Our densifiers are designed to harden and protect concrete floors, making them more resistant to wear and tear, and providing a longer lifespan for your floors. But, more importantly, our densifiers significantly reduce silica dust on concrete surfaces, making them safer for workers and reducing the risk of health hazards.

Our MACt Blended Densifiers penetrate deeply into the concrete surface, reacting with the calcium hydroxide to produce a stronger, denser surface. This process reduces porosity, making the concrete less susceptible to stains and more resistant to the effects of heavy traffic and weathering. Our densifiers are also available in a variety of formulations to meet your specific needs, whether you require a fast-drying solution, a low-odor product, or a densifier that is suitable for use on polished or dyed concrete.

One of the standout features of our MACt Blended Densifier range is the ability to achieve a high level of gloss on polished concrete floors. By reacting with the surface of the concrete, our densifiers create a smooth, hard surface that can be polished to a high shine. This not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of your floors but also increases their resistance to scratches and scuffs.

When applying our MACt Blended Densifiers, it is important to follow the recommended coverage rates to ensure optimal performance. The coverage rates will vary depending on the porosity and condition of the concrete surface. In general, we recommend applying our densifiers in two coats, with a coverage rate of approximately 5-10sqm per litre.

To apply our MACt Blended Densifiers, start by preparing the surface of the concrete by removing any contaminants such as dirt, grease, or other materials that may interfere with adhesion. We recommend using a floor scrubber or other mechanical equipment to achieve the best results. Once the surface is clean and dry, apply the densifier using a sprayer or roller, spreading the product evenly over the surface of the floor. Allow the densifier to dry for several hours before applying a second coat, if necessary.

In summary, our MACt Blended Densifier range has been developed to provide the highest standard of concrete densification on the market, while also addressing the issue of silica dust exposure for workers on sites. By using our MACt Blended Densifiers, you can achieve a hard, durable surface that is resistant to wear and tear, and provides a long-lasting solution for your concrete floors, while also contributing to a safer and healthier work environment.

Pre-application surface preparation and checks:

To ensure the highest standard of densifying, it is crucial to carry out pre-application surface preparation and checks before applying MACt Blended Densifier. Protect all walls, skirtings and all surfaces not designated to get densified. It is essential to remove all coatings, penetrating sealers, membranes, release agents or any other surface contaminants prior to densifying. For highly burnished concretes, grind with a 200 grit to expose aggregate before applying MACt Blended Densifier, as this will ensure adequate absorption of the densifier into the floor. To get the best absorption into the surface, make sure the concrete surface is clean and dry. Ensure that the temperature is less than 36°C and falling or 5°C and rising before application. Test a sample size of 1sqm to be able to determine coverage rate. There are many factors that will determine coverage rate, such as temperature, humidity, ground temperature and porosity of the surface.

Application of the MACt blended densifier to cured concrete, honed or trowelled:

With MACt Blended Densifier, we have developed the highest standard of densifiers on the market due to industry feedback. To get the best results, it is essential to mix MACt Blended Densifier well before use. It is supplied ready to use, and you should apply it at the rate determined in the pre-application testing. Using a hand sprayer, a clean broom or microfibre mop, coat the surface of the concrete with an even layer of densifier. Ensure that the densifier does not pool. Apply in several coats if required, wet-on-wet, depending on the absorbency of the concrete you are working on. The concrete is saturated when the MACt Blended Densifier remains as a film for 30 minutes. Once saturated, if the floor is not going to be ground, remove the film with a dry microfibre mop.

Application Of The MACt Blended Densifier To Fresh Concrete:

When it comes to fresh concrete, MACt Blended Densifier works effectively to get the best absorption into the surface. To get the best results, mix MACt Blended Densifier well before use. It is supplied ready to use, and you should apply it at the rate determined in the pre-application testing. Using a hand sprayer, a clean broom or microfibre mop, coat the surface of the concrete with an even layer of densifier. Ensure that the densifier does not pool. The concrete is saturated when the MACt Blended Densifier remains as a film for 10 minutes. Once saturated, if the floor is not going to be ground, remove the film with a dry microfibre mop. Once dry, apply the specified curing membrane. After curing, buff off the curing compound.

Application Rates:

The application rate will vary due to the age of the concrete, quality and the original compressive strength. A newly laid concrete will require less than an old concrete of the same strength. A concrete which had a “lot” of added water during laying will require the most densifier. The typical values in the range of 5 – 10 sqm per litre. can be expected and are given only as a general guideline. You must determine just how much densifier is required for your concrete in the small test area and apply that rate to the whole floor. MACt Blended Densifier has been formulated to work even better with the MACt range of densifiers.
