Introducing the MACt Seal Kit – the complete solution for protecting your GFRC products against water, stains, and contaminants. This kit includes MACt Pre-Seal, MACt Seal, and MACt Seal Final Coat, each designed to work together to produce a durable and long-lasting protective coating.

First in the kit is MACt Pre-Seal, which is best used before applying MACt Seal to better keep out water and stains. Uncoated concrete is often easy to stain due to microcracks and imperfections in the surface, making it difficult to extract stains without removing the surface of the concrete. MACt Pre-Seal changes the surface energy of the concrete, making it less likely for contaminants and stains to stick to the surface. This sealer is hydrocarbon-based, but it increases stain resistance and abrasion resistance.

Next in the kit is MACt Seal, a two-component urethane acrylic hybrid twin system cross-linking resin system. This sealer bonds to the surface of the GFRC product, creating a scratch-resistant layer that is resistant to a wide range of contaminants. MACt Seal is quick and easy to apply, and it increases shine on a polished surface when burnished. The application rate will vary depending on the porosity of the GFRC piece, with a typical rate of 8-10 sqm/L.

Finally, the MACt Seal Kit includes MACt Seal Final Coat, an additional option for added water repellent coatings. This sealer bonds a silicon repellent layer to the sealed product, producing a colorless and non-yellowing finish. The final cured film is highly scratch-resistant, and it is resistant to a wide range of contaminants. Multiple coats can be applied to produce a high gloss finish, or a few thin coats can be applied for a matte finish. MACt Seal Final Coat can only be applied as a final layer, and attempting to apply any sealer on top of it will result in rejection of the application.

Mixing and application instructions are included in the kit, with the base to activator ratio being 16:1 by volume. MACt Seal Kit is user-friendly and quite user-tolerant, with no need for back rolling of the applied coat. The special non-foaming formulation is designed to be laid down with a minimum of fuss using a foam roller. Allow 24 hours for the first cross-link reaction to take place and 7 days for final hardness to be achieved.
